Getting started

Start the record while the evidencestill lives in the building.

People create the intelligence. Evalent organises it. Staff decide. Join the case study or subscribe, then feed the record from what your school already holds.
School head and operations lead reviewing an Intelligence getting-started checklist on a tablet and printed roadmap.

What your school provides

  • ·The data you already hold: grade exports, specialist reports, observation records. File drop, not a heavy integration.
  • ·A named sponsor, usually the Head or a senior leader, and honest feedback as staff start to use the briefs.
  • ·Consent handling with your families under your existing policies. We provide the templates.
  • ·Patience with early rough edges if you join the case study path, traded for a truthful published story with your permission.

What your school receives

  • ✓The living record on your own students: briefings at every altitude and an action layer that waits for staff judgement.
  • ✓Handover briefs for the next intake, produced from your own evidence.
  • ✓Published annual plans on the Intelligence page, plus a case study path for year one if you want to help tell a truthful story.
  • ✓A head start that compounds: the record can only start once, and every term before it starts is a term it will never know about.

The honest workload

What it asks of each person.

Named sponsor (Head or senior leader)

Scoping call, then a short monthly check-in

Owns consent posture and prioritises which year groups go live first. Keeps the record honest against what staff actually know.

Data / MIS lead

A few hours in week one, then light drops

Roster plus the exports and documents the school already produces. File drop, not a large integration project.

Teachers and pastoral staff

Minutes where the briefs replace preparation they already do

Class and student briefs before lessons and meetings. Actions wait for a human to accept them.

Families

No new portal for day-to-day use

Consent handled under your existing policies. Templates are provided; your school remains the controller.

IT department

Low to start

Browser-based. Deeper integrations can come later. None are required for the first term.

The first term

How week one to week eight usually runs.

Week 1

Scoping: your sections, year groups, subjects and consent position. Data processing agreement signed.

Weeks 2 to 3

First data drop: roster plus whatever you have. Identity resolution runs; your office confirms the uncertain matches.

Week 4

The record goes live. First briefings generated; your sponsor reviews them against what staff actually know.

Weeks 5 to 8

Staff use it for real: class briefs before lessons, the year group view in weekly meetings. We watch what gets used and what gets ignored.

Ongoing

Monthly check-in, board-ready exports when you need them, and the action layer switched on when your sponsor says the school is ready.

The record can only start once, and every term before it starts is a term it will never know about. The best time to begin is the term you have now.

Questions schools ask

Straight answers.

How do we start?

Join the case study programme or subscribe from Pricing on the Intelligence page. Prefer to talk first? Email hello@evalent.io.

Do we need a large integration project?

No. Start with file drop of roster and documents you already hold. Deeper integrations can come later.

How long before staff see briefs?

Typical first term: scoping in week 1, first data drop in weeks 2 to 3, live record and first briefings around week 4.
