The evidence

One voice can mislead.Four voices converge on the truth.

Every Course Selector recommendation is triangulated: the student, their teachers, their family, and objective tests. Where the voices agree, the recommendation is confident. Where they diverge, your counsellor knows exactly where to look.

01 / Student discovery

What drives them, in their own words.

A 38-question structured discovery covering interests, working style, self-assessed strengths and early direction. For students who express themselves better out loud, an optional spoken discovery session captures a recorded reflection, transcribed and analysed for themes, motivations and uncertainty, then the audio is deleted.

  • ✓38 structured discovery questions
  • ✓Optional voice session with consent, audio deleted after analysis
  • ✓Themes, motivations and uncertainty flags surfaced automatically
  • ✓EAL indicators detected early, so later scoring adjusts fairly

02 / Teacher judgement

The people who mark their books, finally on the record.

Every subject teacher receives a link, no login, and rates each of their students on aptitude and engagement, adds a recommendation, and an optional note. Two minutes per student. It's the judgement your school already holds, structured for the first time.

  • ✓Aptitude and engagement ratings per subject
  • ✓Explicit recommendation plus free-text note
  • ✓Sent, tracked and chased automatically
  • ✓Visible side by side with every other voice

03 / The family

Aspirations heard before the meeting, not after the decision.

A short parent survey captures family context, subject preferences and university aspirations. When a parent is set on Medicine and the evidence points elsewhere, your counsellor knows before the meeting, and the conversation happens once, properly, with data on the table.

  • ✓Family context and preferences, structured
  • ✓University and geography aspirations captured
  • ✓Divergence from student and teacher views flagged
  • ✓Optional per school: switch parent surveys off entirely

04 / Subject aptitude tests

Objective signal, only where it's needed.

Timed browser-based tests of around 22 minutes per subject, drawn from a curated question bank across 34 IB and A-Level subjects. Discovery decides which tests each student sits, so most students take three or four, not ten. Scoring covers aptitude, readiness and engagement, recommends HL or SL, and adjusts for EAL.

  • ✓34 subjects covered across IB and A-Level
  • ✓About 22 minutes per test, sat in school on a browser
  • ✓HL / SL suitability and recommended variant per subject
  • ✓Section-level scores with written reasoning, EAL-adjusted

Alignment, live

Where the voices disagree, look there.

Alignment scoring compares the student, teacher and parent view of every proposed subject. Convergent subjects need no meeting time. Divergent ones get it all.
