The journey
Twenty weeks.Walk every one of them here.
This page is not a description of the workflow. It is the workflow: each phase below uses the actual functionality, so you can set a deadline, sit a test item, complete a teacher survey and sign a confirmation before you ever talk to us.

Twenty weeks by default. Every deadline is configurable per school and per cohort.
01 / Launch · Set once, then week 1
One date in. A whole cycle out.
Everything in the cycle hangs from one date: your IB registration deadline. Enter it once and Evalent generates the entire twenty-week schedule backwards from it, with buffer built in. A-Level schools anchor to their exam-board entry date instead.
The schedule is yours to shape. Parent evening, voice discovery and family surveys can each be switched off per school; custom steps can be added per cohort. Every date that survives drives real automation: invitations, reminders and chasing all run from it.

02 / Discover · Weeks 2 to 6
Four voices, gathered properly.
Four voices, each with its own instrument. Students complete a 38-item structured discovery and, where the school enables it, a spoken session: consented, transcribed, analysed for themes and motivation, with the audio deleted after processing.
Teachers get the survey that respects their time: two minutes per student, from a link, no login. Families answer before the meeting, so their view arrives as evidence rather than erupting as a surprise. Everything synthesises into an Aspiration Brief per student: who they are intellectually, where they are heading, and the open questions the counsellor should hold.

Each voice has its own instrument. This is what each one actually sees.
Structured discovery · question 6 of 38
When you lose track of time, what are you usually doing?
A subject is hard but interesting. What do you do?
38 items across interests, working style, ambition and self-knowledge. No right answers; the pattern is the point.
What Discover produces · the Aspiration Brief
One brief per student, synthesised from all four voices, reviewed by the counsellor, and sendable to the family. Every meeting in the cycle starts from it.
03 / Test · Weeks 7 to 12
The signal no options evening can produce.
Discovery tells Evalent which tests matter for each student, so most sit three or four, not ten. Each test runs around twenty-two minutes, timed, in school, on a browser, drawn from a bank covering thirty-four subjects across the IB groups and A-Level.
Every item maps to a construct, and the pattern across constructs produces the signal no options evening can: Higher Level suitability, per subject, adjusted for EAL students so language never masquerades as aptitude. Scoring is instant.
In the application
Try it · inside an aptitude test
One illustrative item. The real test is around 22 minutes, timed, in school.
Economics · Individuals & Societies · question 4 of 18
A city introduces a rent ceiling below the market rate. Which outcome does economic reasoning most strongly predict?
04 / Recommend · Weeks 13 to 16
Meetings that start where the disagreement lives.
Evalent synthesises all four evidence streams into a recommendation per student: three Higher, three Standard, the Mathematics route, an Extended Essay direction, and a confidence score on every line. Your counsellor reviews it; nothing is decided by the system.
Then the part that changes the meetings: alignment is scored pairwise between student, teachers and family. Convergent students take minutes. Divergent students rise to the top of the queue with a written counsellor focus, so every difficult conversation starts exactly where the disagreement lives.
In the application
Try it · the counsellor's meeting queue
Sorted by divergence, so meeting time goes where the disagreement is.
Where the voices diverge
Family expects HL Mathematics; aptitude evidence and teacher judgement both point to SL.
Counsellor focus · written by Evalent, decided by you
Open with the Mathematics evidence side by side. Let the family see the HL demand curve before revisiting the ambition behind it.
In the application: alignment is scored pairwise for every student, convergent students take minutes, and the recommendation itself carries per-subject confidence, the Mathematics route and the Extended Essay direction.
05 / Confirm · Weeks 17 to 20
Two signatures. One locked record.
The agreed package is snapshotted exactly as confirmed in the meeting, then sent home. Student and parent sign separately, each from their own secure link, each signature recording a typed name and a timestamp. No portal, no password.
When both signatures are in, the record locks: the package, the evidence behind it, and both signatures, stored for the student's whole Diploma. IB registration becomes a copying exercise, and October's subject-change conversations start from a signed document instead of a memory.

The cycle is twenty weeks. The programme is three school years.
The decision is made in Grade 10. The signed record and the forecast then stand behind every student through Grades 11 and 12: the answer when a choice is questioned in October, the benchmark Term 1 is read against, and the prediction verified against real results when they arrive, so the model is accountable to your school's outcomes.
